EUROCHAMTT monitors the changing policy, legislative and regulatory environment and the impact this has on the ease of doing business and market access to Trinidad and Tobago.
Through our position papers, letters to Government, high level dialogue, policy workshops, and social media campaigns, we voice concerns on behalf of members, and aim to improve the conditions for business and investment in Trinidad and Tobago.

Some of the areas we actively monitor, and in which we are engaged as stakeholders are:
- Implementation of the EU-CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement (EU-CARIFORUM EPA Act);
- Implementation of the international good tax governance agreements including: the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, Inclusive Framework on Base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) and Special Economic Zones;
- Implementation on the international climate action agreements including the UNFCC Paris Accord and the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
- National environmental policy, legislation and regulations including on water, emissions, waste management among others;
- Initiatives towards renewable energy, energy efficiency and other green development;
- Foreign Investment Act with emphasis on Tobago;
- Tourism policy;
- Work Permits (Immigration Regulation 1974);
- Implementation of Procurement policy, legislation and regulations;
- Customs and port operations;
- Tax changes and especially corporation taxes, petroleum taxes, VAT, tariffs and especially on wine and spirits;
- Other areas brought to our attention may be monitored;
Through the EBO Worldwide Network, as well as through the EU Transparency Register where EUROCHAMTT is registered, members also have a voice and opportunity to influence policy, legislation, regulations of the EU institutions.
